Latin American Studies Overview
The Latin American Studies minor offers an interdisciplinary introduction to Latin America. Courses are offered in several fields to provide a broad understanding. Students leave the program with a firm grasp of Latin American culture and economy as well as language skills. Program History The History, Political Science, Languages, Philosophy and Speech Communication, Sociology, Social Work and Anthropology Departments joined efforts in 2005 to provide a program that provided a broad perspective on Latin America. The program continues to expand as additional courses are offered and internship opportunities increase. |
